HOYT architects was responsible for the design of this 1950s designed villa, with a protected city view in Kralingen, Rotterdam. The design is mainly characterized by its authentic style and view of the garden, while naturally bridging the height difference of over 1 meter at various levels. The property was fully renovated and important energy-related measures were implemented. All wooden window frames were replaced with MHB steel frames equipped with HR++ glass. Moreover, the facades were equipped with ISPO curtain wall, interrupted by wooden cladding. With these measures, the property is now comfortable, energy efficient and fully modernized to current standards. BKT was responsible for contract management, quality management and building management.
